Privacy Policy
This site collects almost nothing, and this page says exactly what it does collect and what happens to it. It is written to the strictest of the regimes we publish under, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, and the same commitments hold for readers covered by Brazil's LGPD or by state privacy laws in the United States.
Who runs this site
Rurivia publishes this site and decides what happens to the data described below. For anything on this page, write to privacy@rurivia.com. For everything else, the contact page.
What we collect
Only what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, the name of your farm or operation if you choose to give it, and your message. Nothing else on this site asks you for anything.
We run no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags, and no embedded third-party widgets. The site sets no cookies at all. There is no account to create and nothing to buy, so there is no password and no payment data anywhere in this system.
What our hosting sees
The site is served by Cloudflare, which records standard request logs, including IP addresses, as part of delivering pages and blocking attacks. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything from the contact form. Cloudflare's own privacy terms govern that processing.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
To answer you. That is the whole purpose. Under GDPR the lawful basis is our legitimate interest in replying to someone who wrote to us, which is also the reason we ask for the minimum needed to reply and nothing beyond it. Under LGPD the equivalent basis is the legitimate interest of the controller.
Who else sees it
The email provider that carries the message, and Cloudflare, which serves the site and passes the form submission through. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not hand it to anyone else unless a law requires it.
Both providers operate internationally, which means your message may be processed outside your own country, including in the United States. Where GDPR applies, those transfers rest on the standard contractual clauses those providers publish.
How long we keep it
Contact messages stay in the inbox while the conversation is useful and are deleted within two years of the last reply. If you ask us to delete yours sooner, we delete it and confirm that we did.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can object to us holding it at all. These rights come from GDPR if you are in the EU or UK, from LGPD if you are in Brazil, and from state law if you are in California or a state with comparable rules, and we apply them the same way regardless of where you write from, because sorting readers by jurisdiction to give some of them less would be worse than the effort it saves.
Write to privacy@rurivia.com. We answer within thirty days. If you believe we handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority, and in Brazil to the ANPD.
Children
This site is written for people who run farms. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
When this page changes
If we ever install analytics, publish a tool that stores what you enter, or start selling something, this page changes before that ships, not after. The date below is the last time it changed.
